Project funding

The SNSF supports humanities and social sciences projects on two levels:

Via project funding, basic research (department I)
Via programmes: NFP, NFS, international programmes, Sinergia, Spirit, Spark, a.o.

Scientific Exchanges (SE): Conferences, Workshops, Research Residencies

The SNSF supports scientific exchanges (colloquia, symposia, workshops etc.).

The SNSF also supports research residencies (1-6 months, outgoings/incomings).

Applications are always possible and must be submitted four months before the date of the event. The support amounts are between CHF 2'500 and max. CHF 25'000.

The SNSF strives to promote international integration for Swiss researchers. To this end, it offers a range of support tools.
