Rebekka Khaliefi studied sociology and philosophy at the Eberhard Karls University Tübingen and at the Sorbonne (Paris IV) in Paris. In her final thesis for M.A. degree she did research on identity processes of  young Tamil Hindus in the area of Stuttgart. During April 2015 until March 2016 she received a scholarship from the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences from the University of Lucerne.
