Manuel Oechslin (PhD in Economics, University of Zurich) has been full professor of economics at the University of Lucerne since December 2014. Before moving to Lucerne, Oechslin was an associate professor at Tilburg University in the Netherlands. His research and teaching activities focus on international economics and macroeconomics. A current research project, funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), deals with fundamental uncertainty as a cause of fluctuations and crises. Oechslin publishes in leading international journals, among them the Economic Journal, the Journal of International Economics and the Journal of Economic Growth.
