Julia Bänziger completed her BSc in Psychology at the University of Fribourg (CH). Continuing her studies at the University of Lausanne (CH) and Macquarie University (Sydney, AUS), she obtained a MSc in Psychology specializing in Health Psychology and Psycho-Sociology. Her master’s thesis concerned the lived experience during pregnancy and motherhood of women with congenital heart disease, exploring difficulties, resources and coping strategies. Alongside her studies, Julia gained practical experience in assessment, coaching and counseling. In January 2016, she started her PhD concerning psychological long-term outcomes in parents of childhood cancer survivors at the Department of Health Sciences and Healthy Policy.

-          living with illness (chronic and acute)

-          qualitative and critical health psychology
